TINNITUS & SOUND SENSITIVITY SPECIALIST

Helping to reduce the impact of Tinnitus, Hyperacusis & Misophonia.

Online + Home Visits

Principal Audiologist Mr Simon Phillips BSc. MClinAud. AAud. GradDipPsychAdv. MProfPsych (Candidate). Certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) developed by Pawel and Margaret Jastreboff.

HearZen specialises in the management of tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia for adults and children aged 16 years and over.

We provide comprehensive, personalised care designed to reduce distress, restore balance, and improve quality of life for people experiencing hearing and sound sensitivity challenges.

Our approach is compassionate, patient-centred, and evidence-based. Every recommendation is tailored to the individual, recognising that tinnitus and sound sensitivity are influenced by both neurological and psychological factors.

For convenience and accessibility, consultations are delivered online, with certain treatments - such as Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) - able to include a home visit for device fitting, depending on location.

Online care is suitable for most presentations. If an in-person assessment or medical review is recommended, you will be supported with appropriate referrals.

As a fully independent clinic, HearZen is not aligned with large hearing aid retail groups or device manufacturers. This independence allows recommendations to be guided solely by clinical evidence and individual need, rather than sales targets or product-based models of care.

Crisis support

HearZen does not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are experiencing severe distress or feel unsafe, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636, or seek immediate assistance from your GP, local emergency department, or emergency services (000).
